in Bolton this morning. Emergency services were called to a backstreet just off Bradford Street just before 9.45am on Saturday (November 28).The incident involved a large delivery wagon and a pedestrian.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 65-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the wagon remained at the scene to speak with officers and no arrests have been made.
Road closures were put in place on Castle Street between Bradford Street and Chadwick Street and drivers were asked to find alternative routes.It is also believed an air ambulance landed nearby the scene.
