TOP Gear will not return this year after the BBC stopped production following Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff’s horror car crash. The presenter was seriously hurt last month after a crash during filming left him with facial injuries and broken ribs.
Freddie, 45, was pictured for the first time since the crash, being driven in Manchester by his former model wife Rachael, 42.
After the crash, concerned bosses immediately suspended production on the series. And The Sun on Sunday can reveal there are no plans to restart as BBC Studios, the commercial arm that makes Top Gear, await the conclusion of an investigation.
They also want to give ex-England cricketer Freddie, 45, time to recover.
