Clydebank after a former nursing home went up in flames. Emergency services were called to the scene at Boquhanran House, near Shakespeare Avenue, at around 6.45pm on Wednesday.
Three appliances were sent to the scene as massive plumes of smoke billowed into the air with residents reporting a ‘terrible’ smell in the surrounding area.
Scottish Water have also warned locals to expect supply issues as fire crews attempt to put out the blaze.In a statement, they said: “Customers in Clydebank have reported an interruption to normal water supplies this evening.“This is due to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service tackling a large fire in this area on Shakespeare Avenue.“The fire service are drawing water from hydrants on the network to tackle this.
