Love Island contestant has warned future participants on the show that they may not come away finding fame or romance.Savanna Darnell, now 26, took part in the 2018 series after she was selected by producers from thousands to join the lineup of the reality dating show.

But her time in the villa didn't go as she hoped it would, and she left the show battling mental health issues due to her experience.Savanna changed her entire life in anticipation of going on Love Island after a producer contacted her on Instagram.Before long she was invited to ITV's head office in an experience she described as "pretty intense".She told OK!

Magazine: "I was meeting with various producers, and having conversations with them. They were all telling me constantly how much they loved me, how amazing I was going to be, and how they appreciated how different I was because I wore Vans to the auditions, when most of the other girls were in heels.It was then when Savanna decided to derail her musical theatre career after a celeb agency that had Montana Brown as one of their clients advised her to sign with them and drop the musical theatre agency she was signed up with.After being flown to Spain, Savanna went into super strict quarantine at the hotel she was put up in, where she felt isolated and "out of control of her own life".It was then she discovered she wouldn't be included in the show's original lineup, and was flown back to the UK as producers felt the show's storylines wouldn't work with her entrance.However, after three weeks, she was brought back out to Spain and was told she was going to be a Casa Amor contestant.
