A man has been arrested after police were scrambled to a fight involving 'a group of men' outside a Wetherspoons pub in Rochdale.
Officers descended on Market Street in Heywood at around 5.40pm on Tuesday (2 May) after receiving reports of a disturbance involving several people.
One man was arrested by police on suspicion of affray and assault of an emergency worker, Greater Manchester Police confirmed. Read more: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community Local residents described seeing police arrive outside the pub shortly after 6pm last night.
One eyewitness said they drove past and lots of police and girls outside "crying." Another witness, who claims another man stepped in to help, said customers had been locked inside the Wetherspoons pub for their own safety.
