King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will be officially crowned on Saturday (6 May) - and eight schoolboys will be on hand to support them.
The boys will be pages for the new King and Queen Consort during their Coronation. The youngsters will be tasked with holding the robes of some of the leading individuals taking part in the procession as the royal couple, senior clerics and other figures make their way through the nave of Westminster Abbey.The pages will wear scarlet frock coats with gold trimmings, white satin waistcoats, breeches and hoses, white gloves, black buckled shoes and lace cravats and ruffles.
And it has been revealed that the eight boys are all family friends or close relatives of the new King and Queen. Prince George Prince George is the most well-known of all the pages - as well as being the youngest.
George, heir to the throne and second in the line of succession, is the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton - and King Charles’ eldest grandson.
