Lord Sugar slammed for sharing 'dangerous and irresponsible' Covid-19 conspiracy theory

Lord Sugar has come under fire after he shared a conspiracy theory which alleged the coronavirus was man-made and started in China.

The 73-year-old businessman and Apprentice star's post was dubbed "dangerous and irresponsible" by angry fans after he shared the message on his official Twitter account to his 5.3m followers.

Lord Sugar shared a print screen of Dr Honjo's controversial bizarre conspiracy theory, claiming that Covid-19 is "not natural".

In the post, it claims the virus – which has killed over 200,000 people worldwide – "did not come from bats" and was "made by China".
