Prince's $156 Million Estate Settled in Court 6 Years Later
Prince's $156 million estate will be dispersed and who is set to receive it, bringing an end to a six-year court battle.According to legal documents, obtained by ET, Judge Kevin W. Eide in the First Judicial District of Minnesota ruled on Monday that the late singer's assets be dispersed between Prince's half-siblings (Sharon Nelson, John Nelson and Norrine Nelson) and their families, their advisers and the music publishing company Primary Wave.Prince's cash — totaling $6 million — and various holding companies have also been split evenly between a holding company called Prince Legacy LLC (which consists of interests previously held by the Nelsons) and Prince Oat Holdings LLC (which consists of interests previously held by Prince's three other half-siblings (Tyka Nelson, Omarr Baker, Alfred Jackson and Primary Wave).According to the legal, documents Comerica Bank & Trust (the court-appointed administrator that handled the estate's affairs while the probate case was litigated) will get $3 million «as a reserve to ensure it can pay the costs and expenses associated with closing the Estate, including the preparation of tax returns, professional fees» and any other court expenses.Comerica Bank & Trust has also been «discharged from any and all duties and liability related to the Estate of Prince Rogers Nelson associated with Comerica's service as personal representative of the Estate through the end of the Transition Period.» Prince, who died in April 2016, did not leave a will behind and he had no children or spouse. As such, his six half-siblings were named heirs to the estate,  reported.

Prince Harry agreed to UN speech to 'boost profile' for Netflix project, expert claims
Prince Harry accepted the offer to speak at the UN because of a need to promote a future Netflix series featuring the Sussexes, a royal biographer has claimed.Harry and Meghan Markle recently attended the UN in New York on Nelson Mandela International Day, where the prince gave a speech to commemorate the work of the historic South African leader, as well as addressing contemporary issues including climate change and poverty. The event marked one of the couple’s first public appearances together since their return from the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee, and one body language expert has suggested that Harry looked “stiff” while sat with his wife.READ MORE: Seven biggest bombshells we know so far from explosive new Meghan Markle bookNow, royal biographer Tom Bower – whose new book on the Sussexes has been making headlines ahead of its release on July 21 – has claimed that these appearances are vital for the Duke and Duchess to maintain a public profile.“He does it because he needs a profile, that’s the only way they can get money, by showing a profile,” he told Piers Morgan on his Uncensored TalkTV show.“And for Netflix, everything is built around the future documentary series to promote the Sussexes.”After formally leaving the Royal Family in early 2020, Meghan and Harry reportedly signed a huge deal with streaming giant, Netflix. However, the pair received a setback when earlier this year, it was announced that Meghan’s animated series Pearl had been canned amid a series of cuts at the company. This has led some commentators to speculate that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are instead being followed by a documentary crew, to film a series about their new lives in California as ex-royals.To get more royal stories from Daily
