Ex-Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann does not believe either the Reds or Bayern Munich would benefit from signing RB Leipzig forward TImo Werner.
Werner has been in superb form this season, scoring 21 goals in the Bundesliga and a further four in the Champions League. He is said to have a release clause of £60m which can be activated this summer, and Liverpool and Bayern are thought to be the two sides expressing the biggest interest so far.
Speaking to The Athletic's Steilcast Podcast, however, Hamann said he doesn't see where the 24-year-old would fit into either side. "I don't think he's a player for Munich or Liverpool (with) the way they play at the moment," Hamann said. "I read quotes from journalist or people close to the club
