Liverpool are ready to begin discussions with Virgil van Dijk regarding a five-year deal in the New Year, according to reports.
The Dutchman is an integral figure at Anfield and his current absence is being felt. Since arriving at the Reds in January 2018 he has helped transform them and make them champions of Europe and then England.
