Liverpool have reportedly opened talks and made official contact over a move for Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara. Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of the player and a move has been touted for several weeks with Thiago pulling the plug on talks with the German side.
With his new contract falling through and the midfielder demanding a new challenge, all eyes were on whether Liverpool could afford to move for the £30million-rated star.
Bayern have been adamant they are under no pressure to sell with Thiago still having a year left on his contract. But it seems that Liverpool have made their move and stepped up their transfer business with Bild claiming official contact has been made.
