Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool find themselves in a strange situation right now. The Reds flew to Austria on Saturday morning to begin pre-season training ahead of the 2020/21 campaign which starts next month.
Liverpool will begin their title defence just 46 days after playing their last game of the 2019/20 season. That short break has led to the players having just one week of designated holiday during a period that has seen the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United play in European competitions.
Such a break for Jurgen Klopp’s could mean a slight edge going into next season as well as more time to consider further activity in the transfer market.
