Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has been tipped to become the “next Xavi” – but only if Jurgen Klopp changes his position.
The Englishman has impressed the manager since his arrival from Fulham last season, making eight senior appearances at 16 years old.
Scoring four goals and making nine assists in the academy side, it has seen the teenager earn comparisons to players such as Lionel Messi as a winger.
But Jason McAteer, who made 100 appearances for the Reds over four seasons in the 1990s, believes a change of position would see Elliott copy another great Barcelona player.
