Liverpool-themed pub in Paris. Ahead of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and the Reds, fans have flocked to the French capital to join in the celebrations.
The two clubs will face off at the Stade de France on Saturday evening. But the jubilant scenes had seen authorities closing down the Kop Bar, a Liverpool-themed pub in the city.Hundreds of fervent Reds supporters celebrated and drank there on Friday, but the bar was informed that it must shut down for the subsequent day.
A post on the Kop Pub Paris' Facebook page read: "For safety reasons kop bar will be closed tomorrow Saturday".It is thought that 70,000 fans are expected to arrive in Paris for the match.
But police have warned that they will clamp down on any unruly behaviour and that the wearing of any club colours is banned near the Champs Elysees, a popular tourist attraction area that sits in between the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe.Merseyside Police's Liverpool FC Twitter account said: "As of 15.00 on 26.05 until 18.00 on Sunday 29.05 it is prohibited to wear any football club colours in the area of the Champs Elysees.
