Manchester United have turned to a former Liverpool coach in a bid to boost their football operations.United have appointed Andy O'Boyle as the club's first deputy football director at Old Trafford.
The Northern Irishman spent over six seasons working at Anfield and was one of Jurgen Klopp's leading fitness coaches between 2015 and 2017.
O'Boyle has left his role as the head of elite performance at the Premier League to work under United football director John Murtough.
And the move comes less than 48 hours after United confirmed former interim boss Ralf Rangnick was leaving and would not be taking up a consultancy role.
