Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has cheekily suggested Lionel Messi should join his former team-mate and close friend Luis Suarez at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Messi attempted to force a move away from Barcelona this summer but was unsuccessful and will remain at the Nou Camp this season.
However, Messi has been outspoken against the current regime and blasted their treatment of Suarez, who completed a move to Atletico earlier this month.
In a post on Instagram, Messi wrote: "It will be strange to see you with another shirt and much more to face you."You deserved to be fired for what you are: one of the most important players in the club's history, achieving important things both as a group and individually."And not to get kicked out.
