Scotland is set to be struck by thunder and lightning this weekend as storms sweep across the the country. The Met Office has issued 20-hour yellow weather warnings across both Friday and Saturday in what will be a wash-out weekend, with strong winds, torrential downpours and hail expected.
Forecasters have also predicted that heavy rain could cause flooding and SEPA have issued a total of 16 alerts across Scotland.
