A Lidl shopper was left "embarrassed" after being told she wasn't “appropriately” dressed to browse the aisles. Irish Senator Lynn Ruane claims she was pulled aside by a security guard at the Tallaght branch of the budget supermarket and told to cover up more next time.
The shocked shopper claims she was subjected to double standards as she posted a picture of the offending outfit on Twitter, which comprised a swimsuit and large sarong.
She blasted the store, claiming there were "men walking around in vests showing just as much skin", as she was. Meanwhile Lidl claims the actions of the guard are not store policy and it's keen to look into the matter.
