Large areas of Wales to go under local lockdown on Tuesday as coronavirus surges

Several areas in Wales will be placed under a local lockdown from 6pm tomorrow following a spike in coronavirus cases. Coronavirus laws will be tightened in Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Newport, Health Minister Vaughan Gething announced today.

The new measures will come into force at 6pm on Tuesday People will not be allowed to enter or leave the four areas without a reasonable excuse, such as travel for work or education.

People will be banned from meeting others they don't live with in doors. Do you live in one of the four affected areas?
