Lanarkshire COVID memorial service set to go ahead

A memorial service for victims of the coronavirus pandemic in Lanarkshire is set to go ahead next week. The service on Sunday, October 31 at Cambuslang Parish Church will also mark the lives of others whose funeral took place during the lockdown restrictions.

Church of Scotland minister of Cambuslang, Rev. Peter W. Nimmo, said: "Since COVID arrived in Scotland, many people have died or suffered serious illness."The lockdown from March last year brought the closure of churches and restrictions on gathering of all kinds, including funerals.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
