Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.

The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

Ed Sheeran’s Equals claims third total week at Number 1 on the Irish Albums Chart

Ed Sheeran boosts back in at Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Equals. Marking Ed’s third total week at Number 1 with the album, Equals topples Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR which finishes at Number 2 today.

Eminem’s greatest hits Curtain Call leaps seven to a brand new peak of Number 5 following his Superbowl performance at the weekend, finishing just ahead of this week’s highest new entry The Dream by Alt-J at Number 6 – their fourth studio album.

Further down, there are three more brand new entries in this week’s Top 50; American indie rockers Big Thief debut at 22 with fifth studio album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, 4 – the fourth joint album by Slash to feature Myles Kennedy – is at Number 29, and finally Eddie Vedder’s fourth solo collection Earthling debuts at Number 41.
