Lanarkshire's football clubs could be helped financially during the Coronavirus lockdown after the Scottish FA pledged £1.5million to help take some of the strain.The season is shut down indefinitely at the moment, and several clubs are expected to feel the strain over the next few weeks or months.With gate receipts completely closed off at the moment, some are expected to struggle financially.However, the governing body have moved to provide a source of revenue via club academy and club licensing, which would otherwise have been issued at the end of the season.SFA president Rod Petrie said: "I am pleased to announce the immediate cash payments to members of Club Licensing and Club Academy Scotland, amounts which were budgeted to be paid
