Crucible crowd in stitches after pretending to go for a pink while on a 147-break. Wilson, 30, found himself on the verge of a maximum break in the final frame of the evening session against Stuart Bingham.

Eurosport commentator Dominic Dale fell hook, line and sinker for the potter's ploy, saying: "He's playing the pink" as he lined up the shot.
As Dale realised what Wilson was up to, the Crucible crowd burst into laughter and applause. Even Bingham, his opponent, raised a smile as he sat and waited for the Kettering man to take his shot. "I honestly thought for a moment he didn't realise he was on a maximum," a fooled Dale claimed in the commentary box.
