Kanye West ’s presidential campaign hangs in the balance after the rapper reportedly failed to meet yet another deadline to get his name on the South Carolina ballot.
The South Carolina Board of Elections confirmed the rapper will not be on the state's ballot as a presidential candidate in November 2020.According to ABC News, West’s time failed to file a petition with the required 10,000 signatures in order to be placed on the ballot.The musician is running as a candidate for his self-styled "Birthday Party".Last month, the All of the Lights hitmaker announced on Twitter he was running in the 2020 election – but has faced a number of setbacks so far.Last week, he urged his online followers to sign his ballot, writing: "Hi guys please sign.
