Kylian Mbappe was left in tears as a horror tackle in the French Cup final sparked a mass brawl between players from both sides.
Mbappe was hacked down by Saint- Etienne defender Loic Perrin as he tried to race past his opponent in the 26th minute. He knocked the ball past Perrin but saw his right ankle awkwardly twisted between the two legs of the forceful sliding tackle.
The French striker screamed out in agony as he rolled on the turf as the referee ran across and instantly brandished a yellow card.
But Mbappe’s PSG team-mates took exception to the tackle and a mass brawl soon ensued. Marquinhos raced the length of the pitch to confront Perrin, Saint-Etienne’s goalkeeper ran from his goal and shoved him over the injured Mbappe.
