Japanese fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto died aged 76 after a battle with leukemia. The fashion guru had A-list connections including David Bowie, Elton John and Stevie Wonder.
Fans will remember Bowie wore the flamboyant designs on stage as his alter ego Ziggy Stardust. News of his death broke on Monday after the star died last week on Tuesday.
His close family gathered to commemorate the star for a funeral in recent days. Earlier in the year, the designer went public with his acute myeloid leukemia diagnosis.
Kansai made his mark on the fashion spheres as his work was presented at Tokyo, New York and Paris fashion weeks from 1974 until 1992.
