Neither Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi are the most talented footballers of all time. That is the view of Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, who opted to select a retired World Cup winner as the greatest to ever grace the pitch - rather than the best the current game has to offer.
Fans may have expected the former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United boss to name either Ronaldo or Messi as the most gifted thanks to their 11 combined Ballon d’Or victories, but instead he opted for Ronaldo Nazario.
The 43-year-old was considered to be the greatest striker on the planet during his prime, winning two World Cups with Brazil and La Liga with Real back in 2003.
