JIMMY Savile survivors will appear in a new series about the paedo presenter. They will discuss their abuse, how they felt isolated and feared speaking out in BBC’s The Reckoning.
Their interviews will be cut into a drama about Savile’s life featuring Steve Coogan as the evil star. Writer Neil McKay said: “The victims requested to attend filming since we are telling their stories. "Safeguarding measures were put in place to facilitate this. "We are working closely with many people whose lives were impacted by Savile to ensure their stories are told with sensitivity and respect.” Scenes in the mini-series will include Savile bending to kiss Diana’s hand when she and Charles visited Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Bucks, in 1983.
It later emerged that Savile abused patients at the hospital. The BBC has been blasted for making a show about its former star Savile, who died in 2011 aged 84.
Coogan, 56, seen in a white wig for the role, has said: “It is a story which, however harrowing, needs to be told.” @font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.svg#') format('svg');font-style:normal;font-weight:400;font-display:swap;}@font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.svg#') format('svg');font-style:normal;font-weight:500;font-display:swap;}@font-face{font-family:'The.
