Brookside actor Philip Olivier has revealed that he would be open to returning to the popular soap, following rumours that the programme may be making a return to our TV screens.Philip, 41, played Timothy 'Tinhead' O'Leary in Brookside from 1996-2003 and speaking exclusively to Daily Star at The National Diversity Awards, where he was presenting one of the awards, he revealed he would return to the soap 'in a heartbeat'.He said: "They were the best years of my life.

If it wasn't for Phil Redmond, if it wasn't for Brookside, I wouldn't have had the career I've carved for myself. "In a heartbeat I would go back."Philip added that the soap was also "always ahead of the game", and talking about Brookside and Hollyoaks creator Phil Redmond, he said: "What Phil has done - not just Brookside, Grange Hill, Hollyoaks - all the jobs he has created in Liverpool. "People really don't know the mastermind that is Phil Redmond and it's such an honour to be a part of that guy's life. "If he were to ask me back in Brookside, of course I would do it.

It holds a special place in my heart. "When I'm going around the city and around the world, people are still calling me Tinhead.
