Andy Halliday has vouched for the club's long-serving kitman Jimmy Bell in the wake of his weekend spelling blunder. New signing Kemar Roofe came out for the second half against Kilmarnock and sharp-eyed followers spotted something different about the 27-year-old's top which had 'Roffe' emblazoned on the back.
The jokes quickly followed and the former Leeds United star addressed the talking point after he netted his first goal for the club in the 2-0 win.
But Rangers favourite Halliday admits Bell's misstep might pave the way for a new nickname for the Englishman. Speaking to Sportsound, he joked: "I don't know whether to call him Roofe or Roffe. "Listen, if Jimmy Bell calls you Roffe then your name is Roffe."Host Kenny McIntrye then asked.
