Jet2 flights from England to Spain are reportedly being turned around “mid-air” and returned to the UK. It is believed half a dozen flights have been affected as of Saturday morning, according to website FlightRadar24.
Flights to destinations such as Malaga and Alicante have turned around, with reports of flight to the Canary Island also cancelled.
Jet2 said the measure has been introduced throughout Spain in response to the coronavirus. The company have said they are in the process of contacting customers in a "fast-moving and complex situation." It comes as Spain moved to lockdown the country, with party destinations such as Ibiza, Malaga and Benidorm shut.
