Former Chelsea forward Tony Cascarino has tipped Jesse Lingard to be a "good signing" for relegation-threatened Newcastle United as speculation surrounding his future at Manchester United grows.
The 28-year-old has made just one appearance under new interim manager Ralf Rangnick, coming in the 1-1 draw with Young Boys in the final Champions League group match.
Prior to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking, he failed to cement a place in the starting line-up following a successful loan spell with West Ham last season.
Despite Rangnick's appointment, he has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League after the 63-year-old named an unchanged line-up in the 1-0 win over Norwich.
