Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.
In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Angel Gomes scored his first domestic goal for Lille on Saturday, just over a year on from leaving Manchester United. Gomes, 21, started training at United's academy from the age of six and he made his first-team debut 10 years later in May 2017 under Jose Mourinho, which made him the youngest player to play for the Reds (at 16 years, 263 days old) since 1953.
But the creative midfielder found opportunities hard to come by under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he joined Lille in August last year.
Gomes was immediately sent out on loan to Boavista to accelerate his development - Gomes scored six goals and recorded six assists in 32 appearances across his time in Portugal - and he's since returned back to his permanent home for this season,
