JEREMY Paxman left University Challenge viewers stunned with a VERY rude swipe at a losing team. Monday's episode of the BBC show saw teams from Strathclyde and Reading go head to head.
After a number of tense rounds, Reading triumphed with a score of 175 and made it through to the next round. Meanwhile Strathclyde scored 110 - which is by no means the lowest score the show has ever seen - yet Jeremy seemed to take issue with it.
The 71-year-old said: “So we'll, I’m afraid, have to say goodbye to you Strathclyde with 110.” But then he added: "I don’t think you’re going to be one of the highest-scoring losing teams.
