Jedward's Edward Grimes has had his appendix removed following 'life threatening' circumstances. The singer, 29, - who shot to fame with his twin brother John on the X Factor, - tweeted a selfie from his hospital bed after the 'scary situation.' "Just had immediate surgery to remove my appendix,” Edward tweeted. 'It was a life threatening and scary situation but I'm grateful the emergency team have operated on me and stopped the agony.

I'm healing and on the road to recovery!" In a follow up tweet he said: 'Thank you for your caring messages.' The singer went on to explain how he was grateful to the doctors that cared for him and 'stopped the agony' he was in revealing he had 'never experienced excruciating pain like this'.
