Jamie Lee Curtis will make her movie directing debut with a true story about a devout Christian mother who had to learn to accept the fact her son was gay.
The Halloween star will also star in and executive produce How We Sleep at Night: The Sara Cunningham Story for U.S. cable network Lifetime, as part of a slate of new TV movies. Jamie Lee, who has previously only directed two TV episodes for Scream Queens and Anything But Love, optioned the rights to Cunningham’s memoir last year.
The new list of TV films for Lifetime will also include the network’s third movie about Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and a holiday project featuring Betty White as a drill sergeant at a Christmas bootcamp.
