Jack Wilshere came up against Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta during his Arsenal days. But the former Gunners midfielder, who is now at Bournemouth, reckons ex-Tottenham and Fulham ace Mousa Dembele gave him more problems than the Barcelona superstars ever did.
Asked who has been his toughest opponent so far for the Cherries’ matchday programme against Watford, Wilshere said: “Mousa Dembele at Tottenham. “I played against Messi and Iniesta but I used to play against Dembele a lot and I hated it. “You couldn’t get the ball off him, he was strong, quick, powerful and also really good on the ball. “His dribbling was a joke and he was difficult to play against.” Get the latest news straight into your inbox!
