ITV presenter and family forced out of home ravaged by flooding as repairs underway

ITV news presenter had to leave her home after it was ravaged by damaging flood water.The Evening News' Mary Nightingale has opened up about the traumatic experience which saw her, her husband Paul Fenwick and their children Molly, 19, and Joe, 17, forced out of their family home.

Speaking to the Radio Times, the 58-year-old explained how the family are living in temporary accommodation as repairs are underway to fix their London home.

When asked what the view was like from her sofa, Mary told how her surroundings have changed dramatically as of late. She told the Radio Times: “We’re not in our West London home at the moment, because it flooded last summer."She continued: “We’ve moved out while it’s repaired and the damage is sorted out."So right now we’re in a flat with an incredible view, as far as the Shard and the London Eye one way, and Wembley Stadium on the other."Mary's career in journalism started with presenting and writing roles on TV Tokyo's World Business Satellite.

She then carried out both of those roles for BBC World's World Business Report, going on to work for Reuters Financial Television in 1994.
