In scenes from last week, Moira tried to kiss Nate, who firmly rebuffed her and chastised her for her actions. However, in typical soap opera fashion, Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) saw the 'kiss' and informed an enraged Cain.
Long-time viewers will remember that the pair previously had an affair when Nate first arrived in the village, putting Moira's marriage to Cain at risk.
The three have since managed to move past the incident but the storyline was revisited this week. Cain was furious as he confronted Nate and assaulted him in shocking scenes on Monday, where he disowned his son despite his emotional denial of any wrongdoing.
