ITV Big Brother's Trish Balusa has apologised for offensive social posts that came to light following her eviction last week.

The 33-year-old, who is a favourite with fans of ITV Big Brother, said sorry for the tweets that are no longer there. She apologised to "marginalised groups" in a statement on her X account.

ITV said that Trish won't be appearing on the live spin-off show Big Brother: Late and Live, despite the reality star being scheduled as a guest.

In a statement on social media, Trish apologised for the "harmful stereotypes perpetuated" in the now-deleted tweets. "I'm aware that some very concerning old tweets of mine have re-surfaced," she said. "And I would like to sincerely apologise for the harmful stereotypes I perpetuated and the pain I have caused to the marginalised communities and groups of people mentioned. "There are no excuses for the ignorance that I showed and I am deeply disappointed, embarrassed and ashamed that I once made such comments.
