Social media giants Instagram and Facebook are refusing to change its stance despite football’s three-day blackout protest. It comes also after Manchester City defender Kyle Walker shared the sickening racist message received on Instagram after winning the Carabao Cup final.
Walker posted a screenshot of the abuse received with a message attached: “When is this going to stop?!? Instagram.” Premier League bosses, EFL, clubs and players have all pledged to join a boycott next weekend with he hope it will put pressure on social media firms to take more action with one of the primary objectives being to ensure every user has to provide verification and photo identification.
