Despite all of that effort, he hasn't been able to get it off the market since 2021. When he bought the property in 2019, he was planning to make it his family's base camp - but soon realised that it was too far from his first choice of school for son Eric, whom he shares with fiancée Lauren Silverman, 45.

Now the music mogul has decided to rent it out instead. A source previously said: "Simon spent around £1 million tailoring it to meet his and his family's needs, so he was definitely planning to make it his base in the UK.
