Joe Exotic, the star of Netflix series Tiger King, is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for animal abuse and murder for hire.

The former zookeeper, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was being held in Grady County Jail in Oklahoma. Earlier this week his 24-year-old husband Dillon Passage revealed that Joe had been put in isolation in the prison, where other inmates have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Joe, 57, has now been moved to Federal Medical Center Fort Worth, a hospital run by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He had been self-isolating but may have contracted the virus, according to a report from the prison.
