Inside McDonald's as it reopens to walk-in customers after Covid lockdown

McDonald's restaurants reopened their doors to walk-in customers this week after closing to the public in January, following a third national lockdown.

The fast food chain said it initially planned to reopen just drive-thrus, however later revised the plan to welcome diners back in branch.

Customers can now enter stores to place an order - however, as with all hospitality businesses, dining-in remains off limits.

Paul Pomroy, McDonald's chief executive for UK and Ireland said all branches will reopen with Covid-secure measures in place.
