Yellow weather warnings have been issued across England and Scotland as freezing rain leads to "treacherous" ice. The Met Office issued the alert this morning after temperatures nosedived, saying pavements and roads could be dangerous.
The warning is in place until 3pm today - with parts of Scotland expected to face winds of up to 80mph. A yellow weather warning for ice is in place for most of Scotland, northern England and the Midlands.
