It was a special moment for Baz Ashmawy when his two youngest little girls waved goodbye from their grandmother’s doorstep last weekend.
His mum, Nancy Ashmawy, now fully vaccinated, was finally able to have her granddaughters to stay – something they did without thinking before the pandemic. ‘It was just really lovely,’ he says of the visit. ‘They were sitting playing 25 or something in the garden, growing mint – I’m not sure what they do together.
They’re just getting to spend time together and have a cuddle and it’s just great. It’s a big relief for the kids. ‘This great love affair between them all is back in full swing, which is really great to see.’ Baz, though, is still waiting for one of Nancy’s hugs as he hasn’t yet been vaccinated
