Police Scotland has set up a secret watchlist of officers who are the subject of repeated complaints about conduct. More than 700 – called officers of concern – have been investigated in the last five years by the force.
Anyone who amasses four or more complaints in any 12-month period is added to the list, the Sunday Mail can reveal. Figures released under Freedom of Information show 704 have been investigated since 2016 following 3603 complaints from the public and colleagues about their conduct.
