A huge search operation was launched in Stockport overnight following reports a person had fallen into a river. Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the River Goyt in Romiley just before midnight.
Rescuers spent almost three hours searching the river. But thankfully no-one was found and the search was called off at about 2.30am.
