Brendan Cole teased his upcoming skating routine on Dancing on Ice with professional dancer Brendyn Hatfield and compared it to the all-male skating routine in the American comedy film Blades of Glory. This week, contestants anxiously prepare for musical’s week on the popular ITV skating show but that’s not the only thing that has thrown the 45-year-old's training into a frenzy.Earlier this week the professional ballroom dancer’s pro skater Vanessa Bauer tested positive for Covid-19 meaning the brunette beauty will not be performing this weekend. This meant that the New Zealand dancer was without a partner for the all-important competition, but luckily there was one pro skater available to fill the spot. Two weeks ago, S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens was evicted from the competition after she battled it out against BMX Olympian Kye White. But her professional skater wasn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet as he volunteered to switch places with Vanessa meaning Brendyn and the Strictly star will be making ITV history as the first all-male partners to compete in the show. And the pair are set to impress as they have teased their loyal legion of fans as to what their upcoming performance could be about on social media. But on Wednesday, the pair left viewers in stitches as the Latin dancer compared their upcoming number to that of the winning routine in the Hollywood film Blades of Glory. The movie follows the lives of two disgraced figure skaters named Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) who are set to return to the Winter Olympics as a winning duo.In their final routine the pair put on a hilarious routine which features a dangerous trick called the Iron Fist where one skater holds the other up.
