Jim Goodwin revealed the club expect to wrap up an extended deal for Jake Doyle-Hayes.The former Aston Villa midfielder has been a revelation since joining in November, with the 21-year-old a driving force behind the club’s current 11-match unbeaten run.Doyle-Hayes has yet to taste defeat while donning the stripes, and delighted boss Goodwin is over the moon he’ll be able to call on his services for much longer having only initially agreed a deal until the end of this season when he joined last month.Goodwin told Express Sport: “Jake was one of those unfortunate youngsters who, due to covid and the financial restrictions in England, saw clubs reducing the size of their squads and he was overlooked.“However, that worked to our advantage.
